Fisherman Maquette
I sculpted the maquette using a material called Super Sculpey. It's a little like sculpting with bubble gum. You can get some pretty good detail, bake it in the oven and it hardens up and you have a sturdy, hard, one of a kind sculpture.

Super Sculpey is a material used by toy manufactures to create design prototypes for toys, action figures and a host of other applications.

The sculpture itself was created using a waterbased clay, (soldate 60, if I remember correctly).

Two other sculptors worked on this project as well: Johnathan Beery and Nathalie Whisman. As the lead sculptor on this project, my main focus was on the figure itself.

Fabricated Artwork
The final coloring was a darker, richer color that was buffed to a beautiful bronze sheen, (thanks to the added bronze powder).
